Adina Buzatu is an entrepreneur, style creator, and founder of TRENDS by Adina Buzatu, a brand that has been redefining masculine elegance in Romania for over 20 years. Through passion, dedication, and an obsessive attention to quality, she has transformed men’s fashion into a tool for personal expression and professional success.
C&B: Adina, what should we know about you and your work?
Adina Buzatu: For over two decades, I have lived through and for style. I don’t just dress people—I offer them confidence. I help them define their image and express their personality through clothing. Fashion isn’t about seasonal trends, but about quality pieces, well chosen, that never go out of style and can be worn for years without losing their charm.
At TRENDS by Adina Buzatu, clients find more than clothes: they receive personalized advice, outfits that suit them, and a style that truly represents who they are. I teach them to invest smartly, to build a sustainable wardrobe made of classic pieces always adapted to modern times.
My work is a mix of passion, research, and human interaction. I’m always in search of the best materials, impeccable cuts, and those little details that make a difference. What matters most is the impact that a well-chosen style can have on a person’s confidence and how they are perceived.
C&B: What is the story of your evolution, and why did you choose style and clothing?
Adina Buzatu: Style is part of my DNA. My grandfather, my father’s father, was a luxury tailor who created suits for the high society of Bucharest. I inherited elegance and attention to detail from him and from my father—a very meticulous man who was always impeccably dressed. I grew up in an environment where quality mattered and every piece of clothing told a story.
My journey wasn’t a traditional one. I started with no grand plans, but with a lot of passion and determination.
I remember those early days vividly: the store, the suits, and the strong desire to prove that Romanian men could have style without copying what they saw in magazines. Elegance isn’t reserved for special occasions—it’s a way of life.
At first, it was difficult. Men’s fashion was either neglected or standardized. I came with the idea that a man should build his image with the same care he builds his career. Many were skeptical. I had patience and never compromised on quality.
I never chose the easy path. I’ve always offered the best—and that has defined my entire career.
Today, TRENDS is no longer just a store—it’s a place where people learn about style, discover what suits them, and leave more confident. My evolution is closely tied to the evolution of my clients.
C&B: What were your visions in childhood/adolescence and what are they now?
Adina Buzatu: As a child, I didn’t have a clear vision of what I wanted to become. I was curious, always eager to learn and discover new things. I loved observing people, analyzing their gestures, how they dressed, how they expressed themselves. I didn’t know then that this attention to detail would become the foundation of my career.
As a teenager, I craved independence. I always knew I wanted to build something of my own, to depend on no one, and to do things the way I felt them. But I never imagined I would end up changing the perception of men’s fashion in Romania.
Today, my vision is clear: I want to offer people more than just clothing—I want to give them confidence, education about style, and a high-quality, authentic experience. I want every person who walks into my space to leave with a refined presence and genuine confidence in their own image, reflecting elegance and self-assurance.
C&B: What are the life and work principles you follow?
Adina Buzatu: My most important principle is quality above all. Whether we’re talking about a suit, a professional relationship, or a business decision—quality must always come first.
I’ve learned that when something is done right from the beginning, it earns you respect and long-term recognition. That’s how I built TRENDS—without compromises, without shortcuts.
Another essential principle for me is to stay authentic. In an industry where many align with trends without truly understanding them, I chose to promote only what I truly believe is worth it.
And last but not least, I believe in respect and seriousness. In business relationships, in client interactions, with my team and partners—respect is the key to any long-term success.
C&B: Have the pandemic, economic crises, and war influenced your activity?
Adina Buzatu: When the pandemic hit, many entrepreneurs panicked—they pulled back, cut costs. I chose to trust my instinct.
I completely ignored the general panic and continued to do my work as if nothing had happened.
It turned out to be the best strategy. After the month of lockdown, when we all stayed at home, the TRENDS by Adina Buzatu business grew by 20%.
The lesson is clear: if you know your market and you have a good product, clients will come back—no matter the crisis.

C&B: Funny situations from your career?
Adina Buzatu: There are so many! But one of the funniest stories is about how I made my very first money.
Few people know this, but my first earnings came from washing windshields! A trendsetter even then, I heard my uncle—recently back from Spain—talking about kids from wealthy families who use this method to gain financial independence early on, and I got straight to work. I was thirteen.
That was my first lesson in entrepreneurship: when you want something, you don’t wait—you take action!
Over the years, I’ve gathered lots of authentic tips & tricks about style and self-care. For example:
Jeans are perfectly cleaned in the freezer—yes, you read that right! You put them in a bag and leave them for a few hours. It kills bacteria and keeps the fabric looking flawless.
Shoes clean up beautifully with rubbing alcohol—it removes stains and makes them look brand new.
These little details make a difference, and authenticity lies precisely in the small things we do with passion every day.
C&B: You’re facing a potential client—how do you convince them?
Adina Buzatu: I invite them to try something on. Once they put on a suit from us, they’ll feel the difference—not just in how they look, but in how others perceive them.
They always come back!
C&B: What advice would you give to those just starting out?
Adina Buzatu: Ambition, determination, and consistency in what you do are the keys to success. But you also need patience.
Don’t panic! Maybe it won’t work out the first time, or even the second—but success will come. Try, make mistakes, learn, and keep moving forward.
C&B: Is evolution about tradition or innovation?
Adina Buzatu: The world is changing fast, and adaptability is essential. People are paying more and more attention to details, to image, to the messages they send through their style. That makes me happy—it means fashion education is growing.
Evolution must be a balance between tradition and innovation—in fashion, in business, and in life.
What’s important is not to lose our authenticity, and to learn to respect one another, no matter the field we’re in.
Adina Buzatu continues to redefine masculine elegance through an authentic vision based on quality, refinement, and respect for individuality. With a career built on passion and perseverance, she doesn’t just dress people—she offers them confidence and a style that reflects their true personality.
