Amanda Caroline Cronin: I run my business & brand the way I run my personal life

Amanda Caroline Cronin is an English entrepreneur based in London CEO & Founder of Luxury Skincare Brand Amanda Caroline. She agreed to talk with us, and we discovered a truly remarkable person. We are confident that this brand and the person behind it will have global success.

C&B: Provide a description or define your business activity!

Amanda Caroline Cronin: Amanda Caroline is a luxury skincare Brand formulated and manufactured in the UK using plant stem cell & nano particle technology to deliver new & unique ingredients formulas disrupting in textures to repair regenerate & slow the ageing process for men & women of all ages and skin types’

C&B: What is the story of the evolution of your business?

Amanda Caroline Cronin: Amanda Caroline was born out of an interest in skin health, better ageing, skin damage reversal, the need for lighter more absorbent textures in rich creams, and new innovative ingredients to blur the boundaries between spa, pampering & medi skincare brands, the desire to deliver a luxury spa experience yet with high levels of scientific high performance active ingredients from plant stem cells and the richness of botanical oils

in the form of beauty products such as creams serums cleansers masks enzyme peels lip products for men & women. Along with bespoke facial treatments partnering with doctors and dermatologists using the newest technology in better and reverse ageing machines. B to B (business-to-business)  & D to C (direct-to-consumer).

C&B: What were your visions in childhood/adolescence, and what are they now?

Amanda Caroline Cronin: My visions as an adolescent were limited being from a small town and leaving school at 16 there was a natural ceiling in place that limited my vision, I found my way to london and into the world of modelling which peaked my interest in how to stay optimum looking for longer to extend what is a looks based short career

My vision for own business grew as I matured and the need for skincare products to help with my problematic skin (oil shine open pores wrinkles sagging skin pigmentation dry dehydrated skin ) led me to develop my own range.

As perfectionist & discerning consumer not finding anything that really worked for me …having a skin cancer scare in my early 30’s also helped develop my interest in skin health & quality and how to protect and nourish the skin ..

C&B: What are the life and business principles you adhere to, and what is their explanation?

Amanda Caroline Cronin: In life I’m honest straightforward kind caring compassionate intelligent diligent high cultured discerning . I run my business & brand the way I run my personal life I’m careful who I sit next to im exclusive I lead I don’t  follow I’m creative high cultured ..

I’m not interested in anything surface level or non-meaningful there is no toxicity in my interpersonal relationships or in the office ..it’s all about loyalty rentention the greater good the bigger picture the community, no interest in wasting time or energy and never worry about the small stuff

I’m a defender of the underdog and what is right …you can’t be a little bit right or indeed a little bit dead !!

C&B: How have the pandemic, economic crises, and wars influenced/influence your business?

Amanda Caroline Cronin: My business was built during the pandemic and launched straight after we were one of the only brands in the world to launch new products in 2022

The beauty & wellness industry has proven itself to be very resilient and grew 20% during the pandemic and is set to reach 2 trillion $ by 2032. We have control of our manufacturing and supply chain so no issues there 100% made in the UK. The wars are indescribably horrendous and need to stop ..however do not affect my business activity.

C&B: Share some amusing situations from your business activities!

Amanda Caroline Cronin: I remember being very jet lagged and waking up late for a huge business call to the US I managed to throw on a sweater and jacket and make it onto the zoom just in time …

By the end of the call they had given Amanda Caroline the green light … The 2nd call to the same company again on zoom we totally forgot ..the time differences are so stressful… They were all waiting on a call in the boardroom while I was casually stacking the dishwasher ..! Again I managed to make a convincing excuse (not proud) and we launched with them a few months later …!!

C&B: You’re face to face with a potential client or partner. What is the sentence that convinces them?

Amanda Caroline Cronin: I happen to be very good at pitches I know my product I’m good at selling ..more then often retailers have come to me ..

The largest retailer in the US knocked on my door 2 weeks after I launched in 2023.. Once i have explained the story the point of differences mission statements the quality and clean values of ingredients and formulas and standard of testing …sustainability the passion comes across ..and its compelling…deal closed!

Once the buyer sees the product the packaging tries the products smells the fragrance understands the uniqueness it’s a done deal .. I’ll say something like ‘we can launch on this date and start with a small opening order …

C&B: What advice/tips do you have for those just starting out or undecided?

Amanda Caroline Cronin: When Starting a business it’s important to have everything set up properly. Your brand identity ,team in place ,manufacturer, packaging, website,brand story, key messages, social media accounts, bookkeeping, business bank account, trade marks, accounting, spreadsheets, Working capital.

The vision for the company is super important and how are you going to achieve it … What is the goal ..and the timeline to goal ..

Be courageous take a risk don’t be put off be authentic find a niche don’t be afraid to go head to head with the incumbents disrupt don’t follow don’t agree ..

C&B: What are your perceptions of society and its evolution?

Amanda Caroline Cronin: Customers are savvy discerning they don’t want to be sold to any longer. I believe in the power of relationship building and word of mouth community is key .. When you have an exciting brand people graduate towards it and want to be a part

Respect and honestly high culture again comes into play .. Society and messaging moves so fast and you have to keep up. We learn all our information today on social media apps like Tik Tok it’s helpful to understand what people like need and want & why and how to make a brand go viral …

Being pushy & salesy doesn’t work today ..who wants to be sold something by a person being paid ?

It’s not genuine it’s fake …it’s not going to work long term ..my role as CEO is to produce high quality products for the consumer that do exactly what I say they do …that disrupt in the space and stand out and build longterm trusted relationships with my customer who feels heard respected and valued ..
